Cleveland’s ever-growing resurgence can be attributed to everything from the billions of dollars of new developments by both public and private investors, to the hosting of major events such as the 2016 Republican National Convention and World Series.

But, no matter the reason, the fact remains that Cleveland is on fire (and not in a Cuyahoga River back in 1969 way). One such way you can experience this excitement is by staying at one of the many new hotels that have graced the city over the past few years.

Downtown and Nearby Properties:

Drury Plaza Hotel Cleveland Downtown (2016): What’s old is new again. That’s the story at this beautiful 189-room property that opened inside the historic and opulent Board of Education building, which was built in 1931.

Holiday Inn Cleveland Clinic (2016): Located on the Cleveland Clinic campus near University Circle, this new, contemporary nine-story property boasts 276 rooms.

The Hilton Cleveland Downtown Hotel (2016): The entirety of the Cleveland skyline changed upon the completion of the all-new, 600-room Hilton Cleveland Downtown. Offering stunning high-level views of both Lake Erie and the downtown landscape, the Hilton connects with the recently opened Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.

The Schofield Hotel (2016): When opening the Schofield Hotel (a Kimpton Property), the designers made sure to maintain the historical and architectural integrity of this building constructed in the early 1900s. The 122-room hotels includes signature Kimpton amenities like yoga mats in every room, guitars for guest use and dog treats.

The Metropolitan at The 9 (2014): Art and luxury mingle at this upscale downtown hotel, which opened inside the downtown building shaped by famed architect Marcel Breuer. Inside, you’ll find a dazzling array of unique amenities including a rooftop lounge, a restaurant in a bank vault, an indoor dog park and beautifully designed rooms with stunning city views.

The Westin Cleveland Hotel (2014): One of Cleveland’s larger hotels, the Westin Cleveland opened inside the former home of the Crown Plaza downtown—but not before completing an incredibly impressive $70 million renovation. The hotel includes 484 rooms, as well as their renowned restaurant featuring a locally sourced menu called Urban Farmer Cleveland Steakhouse.

Aloft Cleveland Downtown (2013): Opening near the earlier portion of Cleveland’s revival is the riverfront Aloft Cleveland Downtown, which anchors the completely revived Flats East Bank. Stunning views of the Cuyahoga River complement the 150 boutique-style rooms.

Courtyard Cleveland University Circle (2013): University Circle, Cleveland’s most prestigious square mile of arts and culture, received one of its newest additions in the form of a 135-room hotel located on the incredibly convenient corner of Cornell Road and Euclid Avenue.
