In 1983, leaders in the music industry joined together to establish the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation in New York City to celebrate the music and musicians that changed the world. The first induction ceremony was held in 1986.

As a young boy growing up in the Midwest in the early 1970’s, my Sunday afternoons in the fall and winter were filled with the NFL and the resulting family gatherings that ensued. The voice of Curt Gowdy will be forever etched into my conciousness as he called the games for the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns.

The b.a. Sweetie Candy Company is located in Parma, which is just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Sweeties Candy has the bragging rights to being the largest candy store in North America, with 16 aisles of candy with sweets stacked 16 feet in the air! 

Gervasi Vineyard’s 55-acre estate, located in the heart of Canton brings the feel of Tuscany with its stunning landscape and elegant décor. While you’ll find no shortage of grapes on the estate, Gervasi Vineyard is far more than a winery. In addition to great wines, its eateries, events, crush house, and four diamond, award-winning boutique inn and villas all help make the vineyard a great escape for an afternoon, or an entire weekend.

Gervasi Vineyard in Canton, Ohio, will be expanding Gervasi Village with the addition of a luxury boutique hotel and distillery on the 55-acre estate. The construction of this two-building expansion will begin this spring.

The heritage at Campbell’s Sweets began more than four decades ago in the roots of candy-making excellence, beginning with Amos “Jupie” Campbell’s famous Karmelkorn®. Amos started us on this sweet journey when he opened highly profitable Karmelkorn® franchise shops in four mall locations and a plaza store in the Cleveland area. Through his candy-making profession he inspired his son, Jeff Campbell, to pursue the life of a popcorn & candy-maker.

I have been travelling to Cleveland, Ohio, regularly for several years and have experienced much of what this great Ohio city has to offer. Last week, I took my first ever trip on the Goodtime III, where I was completely consumed by the Narrated Sightseeing Tour. This is an absolute must-do Cleveland experience and one that you should undertake at your first opportunity. I couldn’t believe I had waited so long to do this tour!

A visit to the Canton/Stark County area is much more than a casual drive through northeast Ohio. Being home to some of the country and Ohio’s best known destinations, a trip to Canton is an experience of all- around excellence.
