Best Things To Do in Cleveland

In the mid-1800’s, Italian sculpture Joseph Carrabelli began his famous granite and marble works at the top of the “hill” on Mayfield Rd. The area between the railroad and the top of the “hill” became home to Carrabelli and the many Italian families that came to Cleveland to work, and Little Italy was born. Today the traditions hold strong with the rich cultural heritage and the spirit of artistry that Joseph Carrabelli began more than 130 years ago.

This five-acre campus is one of the largest-attended attractions in Northeast Ohio… For many sweet reasons, but the crown jewel is definitely Sweeties Candy Store!

The b.a. Sweetie Candy Company is located in Parma, which is just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Sweeties Candy has the bragging rights to being the largest candy store in North America, with 16 aisles of candy with sweets stacked 16 feet in the air! 

“Where can I get one of those cool Cleveland t-shirts I keep seeing?” If this is a thought that crossed your mind while watching Cleveland shine in the national television spotlight these last few months, the good news is that there are a bevy of Cleveland t-shirt makers and other local artists.

After you’ve shoveled yourself full of turkey and stuffing, don’t assume the only thing left to do is watch hours of football from a Laz-E-Boy whilst noshing on leftovers (unless, of course, that’s your thing).

Gervasi Vineyard in Canton, Ohio, will be expanding Gervasi Village with the addition of a luxury boutique hotel and distillery on the 55-acre estate. The construction of this two-building expansion will begin this spring.

The upscale and beautifully appointed Kingfish restaurant sits right off of I-77 at the Medina Road exit. The spacious dining room is immaculate and features an engaging nautical theme. The bright clean décor delivered a jazzy and festive ambiance that stayed throughout the visit.

From the moment you enter, fine art sets the stage for an unforgettable experience. Winemaking relics, French jazz-era reliefs, period antiques, Napa Valley photography and vineyard-inspired artwork establish an atmosphere of welcome and intrigue. Each piece curated to compliment a relaxing evening of incredible food, wine and service.

Another star of the Hospitality Restaurants line up in the Cleveland area is Rosewood Grill in Westlake. Rosewood Grill locations can also be found in the Cleveland suburbs of Hudson and Strongsville, Ohio. We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Westlake location and were thoroughly impressed in every aspect!
