Cleveland’s ever-growing resurgence can be attributed to everything from the billions of dollars of new developments by both public and private investors, to the hosting of major events such as the 2016 Republican National Convention and World Series.

2017 is shaping up to be a banner year for Cleveland and, in particular, for the Cleveland Metroparks.

No one is denying that the weather can get pretty cold and snowy around these parts come wintertime. But, the fun doesn’t stop on account of a few snowflakes. In fact, places like Lake Erie Shores & Islands – known for their summer family vacation options – actually offer up a whole host of fun wintertime activities.

It’s no secret that Cleveland experiences its fair share of snow and cold during the wintertime months. Thanks in large part to its positioning along Lake Erie, the region gets hit by large swaths of snow via a weather phenomenon known as the Lake Effect.

Thanks in large part to Cleveland’s industrial backbone, this once primarily blue-collar town is known for its beer. On a somewhat daily basis, it feels as though new breweries and beer bars are popping up on every street corner.

No one’s saying there’s anything wrong with the traditional way of ringing in the New Year with dinner and some bubbly. After all, Cleveland’s diverse and varied dining scene is quickly making national headlines for itself. (Plus, there are a ton of restaurants offering great packages.)
